Follow the guide for your platform. You'll be fully set up in under 10 minutes.
Open Command Prompt and type python --version. If you see a version number (3.8 or higher), you're good. If not, download Python from python.org — make sure to check "Add Python to PATH" during install.
Create a folder called MyAI on your C: drive. Drop these files in:
This installs the required packages (takes about 30 seconds the first time) and launches the app. A black command window will appear briefly — that's normal.
The app is running. Click the First Use tab above to complete your setup.
Open Terminal and type python3 --version. If it shows 3.8+, you're good. If not, go to python.org and download the macOS installer.
Create a folder anywhere (e.g. Documents/AIMemory). Drop in chat_vault_builder.py and launch_mac.sh.
Right-click the folder → New Terminal at Folder. Then run:
bash launch_mac.shOpen Terminal and run:
sudo apt-get install python3-tk python3-pip -yFor Fedora: sudo dnf install python3-tkinter python3-pip
The launcher auto-installs required packages and opens the app.
Download smart_ai_chat_vault_webapp.html from your purchase email. Double-click it — it opens in your browser. Works on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and on your phone.
The web app runs entirely in your browser. No Python, no downloads, no setup.
Your purchase includes ai_memory_extension.zip. Extract it to a permanent folder on your computer — don't delete it after installing.
Chrome: chrome://extensions
Edge: edge://extensions
Brave: brave://extensions
Toggle Developer mode ON in the top-right corner.
Click Load unpacked and select the extracted extension folder.
Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome → find "The AI Memory Method" → click the pin icon.
Generate your Memory File in the desktop app (click Generate Context File). Open MY-AI-CONTEXT.md, copy all the text. Click the HH. extension icon → click Paste → click Save Memory.
Go to chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, or any supported platform. Start a new chat. You'll see the green "AI Memory loaded" notification. The AI already knows who you are.
Go to the Export Guide and follow the instructions for each platform you use. Download your export files (ZIP or JSON).
In the app, the vault location defaults to ~/Documents/AI-MEMORY. Change it if you prefer a different folder — like your Obsidian vault or Dropbox.
Click + Add Files. Select your downloaded exports — you can add multiple files from different platforms at once. Click Build My Vault. Watch your conversations get organized.
Once the build is complete, click Generate Context File. This creates MY-AI-CONTEXT.md in your vault root — your personal AI Memory File.
Open MY-AI-CONTEXT.md in any text editor. Copy everything. Then paste it into:
Click Daily Auto-Sync in the app. Set a time (7AM is default). Done — your Memory File will auto-update every day with your latest conversations.
Every AI you open now has your full context. Questions? help@aimemorymethod.com
